Projects

This project included the demolition of two hyperbaric chambers, two associated tanks, and all other infrastructure (piping, electrical, ductwork) related to demolition. This demolition occurred on the first floor of the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Building 2. Following demolition of the first-floor hyperbaric chamber, the Pain Clinic was moved to the first floor in the hyperbaric chamber's place. This allowed the expansion of the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic on the second floor, taking the space previously occupied by the Pain Clinic. Included in the project was the temporary construction required to separate the construction zones for surrounding clinical and administrative spaces for the duration of the project. This project complied with the UFC 1-200-02 High Performance and Sustainable Building Requirements.

Mill Creek handled the furniture and equipment relocation for the project. This included providing:

• Equipment layouts

• Basis of design cut sheets for items in the government provided PRCL

• Labor and oversight for all moves

• Removal of items from work zones prior to construction

• Management and execution of the review process of IO design submittals

• Development of the agendas, conducting IO meetings and management of the IO review process
