A new Working Dog Treatment Facility, 12,361 square feet, double the size of other VTF on Oahu, was built at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam. Mill Creek was engaged to provide design services-post construction, medical equipment planning, interior PP signage, artwork concepts and design, initial outfitting, transition planning, and move services from the existing clinic to the new clinic. All of the services provided at the existing clinic were transferred to the new space and include preventive care, diagnostics, surgeries, and care for military working dogs and pets of service members and retirees. The new facility also has a dedicated space for Veterinary Food Inspectors to carry out their continuous and critical food safety mission. The JBPHH veterinary food inspection team is responsible for 123 installation support facilities, 12 submarines, 15 ships within the pacific Area of Responsibility, and $150 million dollars' worth of food sustenance annually. Mill Creek procured equipment, installed and outfitted the new equipment, furniture, artwork, and signage. When the initial outfitting period was completed, Mill Creek then deinstalled reuse FF&E, reinstalled it in the new clinic, and processed all excess items to DRMO/DLA.

We began the project with a site investigation, meetings with the end users and an inventory of all existing assets. Upon completion of the inventory the data was input into our proprietary database for processing. We tracked each unique piece of furniture and equipment down to the room and department level ensuring accurate, comprehensive move plans and a flawless transition. Use of the Mill Creek database rather than Excel ensures one-to-one mapping of inventory contents eliminating the possibility of double counting reuse items.
