This project was for the construction of a new oncology outpatient center in Kearney, NE. The existing facility was 4,000 sf, including 6 exam rooms, a lab space, clean utility, soiled holding, and an 11-chair infusion bay. The new clinic is a 2-floor, 50,000 sf facility with an infusion treatment area, a radiation oncology clinic, medical oncology clinic, clinical lab, CT simulator, linear accelerator, small pharmacy, and all typical clinical support spaces.

Mill Creek provided equipment planning for the construction of the new Kearney Cancer Center. This included preliminary room-by-room equipment lists, budget, utility matrix, cut sheets and vendor drawings, placement of equipment in Revit model, and procurement assistance. We worked hand-in-hand with the design team and user groups to verify layouts of key clinical spaces, defined requirements for each space, created and reviewed equipment lists with each department, discussed manufacturers and models, and confirmed Nebraska Medicine equipment standards.
